In a story published this morning, E&E News reported on Echo Communications Advisors’s launch.

Reporter Timothy Cama wrote, “A Democratic policy communications firm is rebranding with an exclusive focus on climate change and clean energy clients. Chris Moyer’s firm, launched five years ago as Moyer Strategies, is now Echo Communications, he announced Tuesday.

“The firm will now be squarely focused on strategic communications and campaigns for climate change, renewable energy and clean technology clients, Moyer said, though it had previously worked in those spaces before. The shift comes as President Donald Trump comes to office with Republican congressional majorities and plans to tear down the climate and clean energy policies that former President Joe Biden and Democrats built up.

“Companies, associations and others are strategizing how to defend those policies, like the Inflation Reduction Act, in Congress, the public sphere and elsewhere.

“This is a natural evolution for our firm,” Moyer said in a statement.

“The name ‘Echo’ reflects the work we do to amplify our clients’ voices and ensure their messages resonate with policymakers, regulators, investors, and communities — the audiences that matter most,” he said.

Cama cites the firm’s experience working  on climate and energy issues, including in the U.S. Senate, with state attorneys general to defend climate policies in 2017 and 2018, and helping the Coalition for Green Capital win a $5 billion grant from EPA to launch the first national green bank.
